On Kleinood poppies have become synonymous with spring.
Each and every phase of the poppy plant and flower is a thing of beauty
– the small brave plants that push out of the cold wet soil,
the slender stems that, like the necks of little babies,
bravely carry buds too large and heavy for their size,
the green buds folded like hands in prayer,
the exuberant burst of colour as the fragile petals unfold
and then the humble seed heads that hold within their perfectly designed shapes
the promise of yet more beauty and joy.
Each piece is unique, cast from real flowers found in the Kleinood gardens.
