September heralds the arrival of blossoms,
and
The Spring Offering.

The Summer Offering arrives in December,
just in time for holidays.

March brings a cosy Autumn Offering
to our members’ doors.

Soon June arrives,
and so does The Winter Offering.

Spring on Kleinood Farm

It’s been a slow start to Spring here on Kleinood.

There’s still a chill in the air and the faintest rustle of leaves brings
a windy nip to everything it touches.

Winter arrived late and is sticking around with determined resolve.

But seasons pass, and as we type the tapping on the keyboard
is accompanied by birdsong, dappled sunlight dancing off new leaves
through the window with the smell of fresh cut grass…

…all signs that Spring is undeniably in the air!

As a season of new beginnings, Spring heralds not just the arrival
of your next Kleinood Table offering,
but also the release of a few of the Tamboerskloof range’s fresher family members –
just in time for sunsets and smiles.

A delightful coincidence indeed.

The Kleinood Table Spring Offering

Tamboerskloof Katharien Rosé 2022 | She’s back, and as beautiful as ever. A delightful vintage, with a bouquet of aromas on the nose showing fresh, racy red fruit and floral notes that carry through to the palette with balanced acidity and refined flavours. It’s our pleasure to reintroduce this award-winning Rosé to the market – and you’re the first to taste it!

Tamboerskloof Viognier 2022 | After disappearing from the shelves shortly after its release due to massive export demand, it was hard to hold back on this exceptional vintage of the elusive Tamboerskloof Viognier. But hold back we did, even as our private stock ran dry. It’s not that we have a set recipe for making this (or any) wine, so being finicky comes down to finding ways to truly express the vintage and grapes it provided. Part of this process involves waiting. For separate blocks or rows to ripen, for smooth fermentation and gentle extraction, for appropriate bottle rest. We’re all very glad that’s over – we hope you agree…

Tamboerskloof Mourvèdre (meevaller) 2021 | This vintage of the recent addition to our portfolio delivers again – offering  a very unique perspective on what the Mourvèdre cultivar has to offer. Produced in small quantities from a 20 year old block below the dam wall, the wine delights with light minerality underpinned by delicious dark fruit. Stylistically lighter than the traditional Mourvèdres of the world, we’d suggest keeping it aside for your first proper outdoor braai of the season.

Tamboerskloof Syrah 2013 | As we might have mentioned earlier we were planning to keep things light and fresh for this seasonal Spring offering. Everything changed after a recent vertical tasting where the 2013 vintage of our flagship showed exceptionally well. We could not help but share it with you…

de Boerin Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2022 | Opening with elegant fruity undertones followed by a classic peppery punch, we consider this olive oil an ingredient more than a base-oil. As good at elevating a simple slice of crispy ciabatta as it is paired with a fresh garden salad, it should be in your pantry this Spring – and now it is!

Something Small & Precious | We can’t say too much, as that would spoil the surprise, but buried deep in your offering somewhere there’s a little bottle of a very special something. Close your eyes and experience Winter Water
